Halloween Prep and Christmas Planning

Hello everyone,

It's been a busy day in the bungalow today, and I’m excited to share what I’ve been up to! With Halloween just around the corner, I’ve been working on some spooky new additions to my wax melt line—Halloween-inspired scoopie tubs! 🎃

Introducing My New Halloween Scents:

I have three brand-new scents that I’m thrilled to introduce:

1. Vampire Blood: This one is a real treat! It's a sparkling blend of lemon, bergamot, and mandarin, with hints of rose and strawberry, all resting on a base of cedarwood and amber. It’s a fresh, yet mysteriously alluring scent that captures the essence of Halloween night.

2. Zombie Punch: For those who love something sweet and fruity, Zombie Punch is the perfect choice. It’s bursting with the juicy aroma of ripe mango—a scent that’s sure to wake the dead!

3. Fright Night: This scent is dark and intriguing, perfect for those who love something a bit more complex. It combines raspberry, date, fig, raisin, and fresh strawberry with uplifting spices, all on a warm base of vanilla, cedar, and musk. It’s the kind of scent that makes you want to snuggle up and enjoy the eerie atmosphere.

Label Design Adventures:

I’ve also been busy designing the labels for these new scoopie tubs (with a little help from my hubster). I’m pretty pleased with how they’ve turned out, but there’s a small hiccup—the labels are just a little too big for the lids! So, tomorrow, I’ll be making a trip to pick up a craft knife to get them just right. Sometimes, these small challenges are what make the process so much fun (and slightly frustrating!).

Looking Ahead to Christmas:

As I was putting the finishing touches on my Halloween products, my mind naturally started drifting toward Christmas. It’s never too early to start planning, right? And for those that know me already, you know how much I love Christmas, especially the movies! One idea that’s been on my mind is creating wax melt advent calendars. I love the idea of customers opening a new scent each day leading up to Christmas, but as a new start-up, I’m feeling a bit hesitant.

There’s a lot to consider: the cost of production, the potential demand, and whether it’s a risk worth taking. It’s one of those classic start-up dilemmas—do I go for it and potentially have a hit, or do I play it safe and miss out on a great opportunity? The best course of action might be to do some research and ask my customer base what they think. After all, their input is invaluable.

Next Steps:

So, that’s where I’m at today—balancing the excitement of new Halloween products with the careful consideration of Christmas plans. I’ll be gathering feedback on the advent calendar idea soon, and who knows, maybe you’ll see those popping up in the shop later this year!

In the meantime, I’ll be focused on getting these Halloween scoopie tubs ready for you all to enjoy. Keep an eye out for updates, and as always, I appreciate your support and feedback.

Thanks for following along on this journey with me. Stay spooky and stay tuned!
